Curaçao welcomed 74,591 stayover visitors in February 2026

WILLEMSTAD – March 13, 2026 – The Curaçao Tourist Board reports that stayover tourism remained strong in February 2026, supported by solid demand across key source markets. The island recorded a 7% increase in stayover arrivals compared to February 2025, welcoming an additional 4,984 visitors. In total, Curaçao registered 74,591 stayover visitors during the second month of the year, underscoring the destination’s ongoing appeal during the winter travel season.

Demand remained healthy across Curaçao’s main source regions. South America recorded the strongest growth, with arrivals increasing by 27% compared to February 2025, while North America grew by 6% and Europe increased by 3%. The Caribbean region saw fewer arrivals in February 2026. In absolute numbers, Europe remained the leading source region with 27,799 stayover visitors, followed closely by North America with 27,042 and South America with 16,206 stayover visitors. According to Immigration Card data, visitors stayed an average of 8.6 nights in February.

Top 3 Source Markets in February 2026

The Netherlands: Curaçao welcomed 23,460 visitors from the Netherlands, a 2% increase compared to 22,969 arrivals in February 2025, reflecting continued affinity for the island. Most Dutch visitors (55%) chose non-resort accommodations, while 45% stayed at resorts. On average, Dutch visitors stayed for 11.8 nights during their visit.

United States of America: The USA remains an important source market for Curaçao, with arrival holding steady year over year at 19,622 visitors in February 2026.  A majority of the visitors (64%) stayed in resort hotels, while 36% opted for other accommodation types. USA visitors stayed an average of 6.1 nights.

Canada:  Visitor numbers from Canada surged by 25% in February 2026, totaling 7,420 arrivals compared to 5,917 in February 2025, highlighting growing enthusiasm among Canadian travelers. Canadian visitors stayed an average of 9.4 nights, with 50% choosing to stay in resort hotels.
