WILLEMSTAD – August 12, 2026 – For the third consecutive year, Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) organized the Youth Tourism Experience Program, offering students between the ages of 15 and 17 the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in Curaçao’s tourism and hospitality industry through a three-week summer job placement. This year’s edition was organized in close collaboration with 18 companies across the tourism industry and took place from July 20 through August 8, 2026. The program concluded with a closing ceremony, during which Andre Rojer, Product Manager at CTB, presented certificates to the 40 participating students in recognition of their successful completion of the program.
The participants represented various schools and educational levels, including AGO, VSBO, SBO, HAVO, and VWO. Before beginning their summer job placements, they participated in a three-day workshop designed to prepare them for their experience in the tourism industry. Topics included Curaçao’s Tourism Product, Customer Experience, Personal Branding, Professional Behavior, Money Management, and Communication Skills. As part of the workshop, the participants also took part in a field trip, visiting various locations where they had the opportunity to experience and learn more about Curaçao’s nature, history, and culture.
Participating companies included: Avila Beach Hotel, Blue Bay Resort Curaçao, Christoffel National Park, Coral Estate Luxury Resort, Mangrove Beach Corendon Curaçao, The Rif at Mangrove Beach Corendon Curaçao, Curaçao Ports Authority, Curaçao Sea Aquarium, Museum Association Curaçao, Curaloe, FBTT, LionsDive Beach Resort Curaçao, Curaçao Rif Mangrove Park, Curaçao Marriott Beach Resort, Courtyard by Marriott Curaçao, Papagayo Beach Resort Curaçao, Renaissance Wind Creek Curaçao Resort, Chichi Garden, and CTB. CTB extends its sincere appreciation to all participating companies for providing these young participants with valuable opportunities to develop their professional and interpersonal abilities. Through initiatives such as the Youth Tourism Experience Program, CTB continues to encourage young people to explore the tourism and hospitality industry while gaining valuable practical experience.
