July 6, 2026

for residents and tourists

WILLEMSTAD – July 6, 2026 – The public restroom located at the Punda ferry terminal has been renovated and has reopened to serve the community of Curaçao and visiting tourists. The facility is open from Monday through Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, as well as on public holidays and on days when cruise ships are in port. The project was carried out by Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) in close collaboration with Downtown Management Organization (DMO), as part of a shared commitment to enhancing the quality, accessibility, and overall experience of Curaçao’s downtown areas. The renovated facility was officially inaugurated by Minister of Economic Development, Roderick Middelhof.

This initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to improve, maintain, and provide public restroom facilities in the downtown area, helping to create a cleaner, more hygienic Punda. With the reopening of this facility, there are now two public restrooms available in Punda; one at the Waterfort Arches and the other at the Punda ferry terminal, located in front of the Curaçao Information Center, which CTB inaugurated in November 2025. A fee of 1 Caribbean guilder / 1 US dollar is charged for use of the public restrooms. Users are kindly encouraged to help keep the facilities clean.
