February 19, 2026

WILLEMSTAD – February 19, 2026 – Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB), in collaboration with several hotel partners and four local entrepreneurs, proudly participated in the first edition of Vakantie Festival, held at the Brabanthallen, ‘s Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands. Curaçao featured the largest stand at the event, where for three consecutive days the team immersed visitors in the island’s diverse and high-quality tourism offerings. Participating hotels presented exclusive deals, while local entrepreneurs showcased and sold a variety of authentic, locally made products, including jewelry crafted in the shape of the island, natural oils and authentic art pieces. Visitors also had the opportunity to take photos in front of a large display featuring Curaçao’s national football team, Blue Wave, adding an interactive and memorable element to the experience.

The festival welcomed more than 16,000 attendees. This marked the first time that Curaçao participated in an event of this scale in the Brabant area. In 2025, Curaçao recorded more than 34,000 visitors from the Brabant district to the island, representing a 5% increase compared to 2024, a clear indication of the growing interest in the destination.

In addition to exploring the various stands, attendees enjoyed a diverse program of activities, including a kids zone and live musical entertainment. The entertainment lineup featured a DJ from Curaçao and a brass band performance, further highlighting the vibrant culture of the island.

CTB extends its sincere appreciation to all partners who contributed to the success of Curaçao’s participation at Vakantie Festival: Scuba Lodge @ Sea & Scuba Lodge @ Lagun, Acoya Curaçao Resort, Villas & Spa, Renaissance Wind Creek Curaçao Resort, Boutique Hotel ‘t Klooster & BOHO, Morena Eco Resort, Quints Travellers Inn, Courtyard by Marriott, Landhuis Chobolobo / Senior & Co., Concept Statement, Onicoco, SoliArt and Nimias Oil.
