WILLEMSTAD – August 13, 2025 – The Curaçao Tourist Board reports that 66,956 stayover visitors traveled to the island in July 2025, representing a 14% increase compared to July 2024. July has become a key month for the island’s tourism industry. This growth highlights Curaçao’s continued appeal as a summer destination, with visitors drawn to its sunny weather, vibrant culture, and scenic beaches.
South America saw a 46% increase in arrivals, North America experienced a 18% growth, and the Caribbean grew by 11%, while visitor numbers from Europe fell by 3%. Despite this, Europe remains the leading source market, with 27,427 visitors. According to Immigration Card data, visitors stayed an average of 9.2 nights during the month.
Top 3 Source Markets – July 2025
The Netherlands: Curaçao welcomed 23,769 visitors from the Netherlands, a 5% decrease compared to 24,976 visitors in July 2024. A majority (61%) opted for non-resort accommodations, while 39% stayed at resorts. Dutch visitors stayed an average of 14.1 nights.
United States of America: The U.S. remains a crucial market, with arrivals increasing by 20% to reach 16,735 visitors, compared to 13,981 in July 2024. Resort hotels were the preferred choice for 68% of American visitors, while 32% chose alternative accommodations. The average length of stay was 5.9 nights.
Colombia: Visitor numbers from Colombia increased by 68% in July 2025, totaling 5,090 arrivals compared to 3,033 in July 2024. Colombian visitors stayed an average of 5.3 nights, with 55% choosing to stay in resort hotels.
Year to date highlights: January to July 2025
Curaçao’s tourism sector delivered an overall steady performance in the first seven months of 2025, supported by strategic efforts to boost visibility in key markets and ongoing collaboration with hotel and airline partners. From January through July, the island welcomed a total of 1 million visitors, including 466,694 stayover arrivals, 27,603 day-trippers, and 508,693 cruise passengers—reflecting an overall growth of 6% compared to the same period last year.
