WILLEMSTAD- June 18, 2018 – Air Century’s inaugural flight from Dominican Republic to Curaçao was celebrated at the Hato International Airport with an event that included speeches by the Minister of Finance Mr. Gijsbertha representing the Minister of Economic Development, Minister of Traffic, Transport and Urban Planning Mrs. Jesus-Leito, Air Century’s Marketing Manager Arantxa Chahin, Director Marketing Air Service & Tourism of the Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP), Ms. Peggy Croes and CEO of the Curaçao Hospitality & Tourism Association (CHATA), Mr. Miles Mercera. The ministers expressed their satisfaction with this first flight by Air Century to Curaçao. As of June 18th, the airline will be flying between Dominican Republic and Curaçao three times a week; on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Regular flights will be leaving Dominican Republic, 8:00 AM, with return flights leaving Curaçao at 11:00 AM. The operations will originate from Dr. Joaquin Balaguer International Airport and will be realized with a SAAB 340 with a capacity of 34 seats. In the future a CRJ200 with a capacity of 50 seats will be added to realize this flight. This new direct connection will provide excellent connect-through possibilities to Haiti and St. Martin.
