WILLEMSTAD – March 26, 2026 – Gerard Joling, a well-known Dutch singer and television presenter, is celebrating 39 years of visiting Curaçao this year. Since 1987, Mr. Joling has visited Curaçao both for his concert performances and for vacations. As a token of appreciation, Minister Charles Cooper, representing the Minister responsible for Economic Development, together with Ms. Zulaika Mook, Sector Director at the Ministry of Economic Development, presented an appreciation plaque to Mr. Joling.
Mr. Joling especially values Curaçao as a destination where relaxation and enjoyment come together. He notes that the island offers a wide range of experiences, from beautiful beaches perfect for unwinding to an excellent selection of flavorful cuisine. It is also an ideal place to end the day with a lively and enjoyable happy hour. He further expresses his appreciation for the increasingly diverse restaurant offerings that have developed in recent years. Among his favorite local dishes is fresh fish.
The Curaçao Tourist Board thanks Mr. Joling for his 39 years of loyalty and recognizes his role as an ambassador for Curaçao.
