WILLEMSTAD – March 11, 2026 – A team from Curaçao, consisting of representatives from the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) and 10 private sector partners, participated last week at ITB Berlin in Germany. ITB is one of the largest trade-focused tourism fairs in the world. This year marked the 60th anniversary of ITB, with the participation of more than 5,000 exhibitors from 166 countries and approximately 97,000 participants. The goal of Curaçao’s participation was to strengthen commercial ties with international partners. During the three-day fair, the Curaçao team met with, among others, tour operators, airlines, online travel agencies, and trade media.
For this edition, Curaçao had a colorful 100m2 stand located in the Caribbean Hall. During the fair, the Curaçao team held various meetings with international partners to strategically elaborate on the actions and initiatives planned for 2026.
In view of Curaçao’s match against Germany on June 14 as part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, CTB invited guests to take part in friendly foosball matches. These games took place while participants were waiting for their meetings to start. Dona Regis-Prosper, Secretary-General and CEO of the Caribbean Tourism Organization also stopped by the Curaçao stand and played a game of foosball against Muryad de Bruin, CTB Managing Director.
We extend our thanks to the private-sector partners who were part of the Curaçao team at ITB 2026; Coral Estate Luxury Resort, Curaçao Marriott Beach Resort, Renaissance Wind Creek Curaçao Resort, FBTT, Acoya Curaçao Resort, Villas & Spa, Corendon Hotels & Resorts, The Kontiki Curaçao Beach Resort, Courtyard by Marriott Curaçao, Dreams Curaçao Resort, Spa & Casino and Samurai Curaçao.
