WILLEMSTAD – December 11, 2025 –The Caribbean Media Exchange (CMEx) Leadership Awards ceremony was recently held in Miami, Florida. A total of 15 individuals received this prestigious award, and the Director of the Curaçao Tourist Board, Mr. Muryad de Bruin, was among the honorees. The award is presented by Caribbean Media Exchange, Inc., a nonprofit organization whose mission includes, among other things, supporting and developing the ability of the media, government, the travel and tourism industry, and communities to recognize the importance of tourism in sustainable development. This year’s ceremony recognized individuals whose leadership continues to shape tourism, culture and development across the Caribbean.
Mr. de Bruin accepted the award on behalf of his CTB colleagues and all those working in the tourism and hospitality industry. Their collective efforts ensure that Curaçao consistently delivers an exceptional visitor experience, showcasing Curaçao’s beautiful beaches, vibrant culture, rich culinary traditions, and warm, welcoming people.
